Poker Greatness is NOT for Everybody

Not everybody could be capable of reaching the WSOP's Finals table, it is just like chess. (You can own all the chess books in the world, but if one's IQ level is below that of a demented frog's, then he/she would never become a grandmaster worthy of the world's attention).

One could read poker books, attend a couple of Mike Caro's seminars, hire a mentor, and still not reach world-class strength. If it's any consolation, if you have done all those things mentioned, you should turn into a formidable card warrior, that is a probability, not a promise.

Still and all, it does not mean that one could not enjoy poker action with relatives and friends. That is why home poker parties exist, and if you have ample resources, plus your house has ample space, then you could very easily organize your own gambling party.

Even if you do not know the first thing about it, I assure you that a full hour's surfing on Google/Yahoo would educate you. If you hate online surfing, then you could ask a friend who has experience in hosting poker parties. If you do not have such a friend, go and buy a physical book, but really, it would be easiest to go online.
